Sittong Homestay is ideal for tourists who want to enjoy nature in its purest form. We highly recommend you take a walk to Jogighat which is also a popular picnic spot for the locals.
You can get down to the river which is a small stream and is perfectly safe for most of the year except the monsoon months. You can also enjoy the forested hills and the rocky riverbed here. An unpaved jeep road passes by the side of our Humro Home through the villages. A morning or evening walk through the road will bring you in close interaction with the birds and the local people. We can take you to a walk inside the forest and to unknown treasures such as waterfall. Birding is also a popular activity in the village. Sittong is located close to Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary and has similar altitude and climate as that of Latpanchar. Although Latpanchar has become very famous among tourists for Birding, same kind of experience and sighting can be offered to the tourists visiting Sittong.Even More...

Sittong is a calm and peaceful village in Kurseong sub-division of Darjeeling district. This is a place to fall in love with nature, at its pristine best. If you love blooming orange orchards, if you love the sweet song of the unknown birds, if you love the runny nose and smiling face of a cute village child, if you love to put your feet in the cold water of a small hill stream, you will fall in love with Sittong.

There are multiple routes to reach here depending on where you are coming from. If you are travelling through Sikkim Bengal connector NH10, you can go for Sittong through one of the three uphill roads starting at Kalijhora, Birik Dara or 27th Mile. The 1st road will reach Sittong via Latpanchar, the second one via Selphu and the third road through Mangpu.
One of the simplest way to travel here is to come to Mangpu. Go to Nalidara in Manpu which is the main taxi stand here. Take the south bound downhill road and reach Jogighat bridge over river Riyang about 6 kms away. Half a km after crossing Jogighat on your right is Humro Home Sittong.
