The average temperature in summer is around 10 degrees. Winters can see the mercury fall to below sub-zero levels, with maximum temperatures of about 15 degrees. The monsoon months of June to September, witness fairly heavy rainfall, which at times makes the roads slippery and it is not suggested to travel here at this time. From October onwards again, the weather becomes very pleasant and conducive to visit.
