Weather patterns in Lataguri are aligned with that of plains weather. In summer and monsoons, minimum temperatures are about 21 degrees and the maximum rise is to 31 degree. Winter temperatures swing between a minimum of 11 degrees and a maximum of 25 degrees. Monsoons bring heavy to very heavy showers and the forests gleam with fresh leaves and plants, giving the whole place a lush look.
Lataguri is a small town in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, located just outside the Gorumara National Park. It is easily accessible by road from the railway stations of NJP and New Mal, as well as from Bagdogra airport.
Humro Home Akarshan Banobanglow is a 10-room eco-resort that has a pond and a small garden in front, where children can play around. The proximity to the Gorumara National Park provides easy access to the entrance for safaris.

New Mal Junction, located about 30 km away, is the nearest railway station. Bagdogra airport is 68 km away. The major railway station is NJP which is 53 km from here. From NJP, you drive via Gajaldoba towards Neora More. From this More, take a left turn and you will find Akarshan just 500 meters ahead. From New Mal, you drive via Chalsa to Neora More and take a right turn to the eco-resort. From Bagdogra, it is a similar route via New Mal.
Another unique option is boarding a DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) trains from Siliguri Junction at 4 pm, which takes you via New Mal through the jungle area and reaches Lataguri station at 7 pm. You can enjoy the experience of traveling through 2 forests - Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary and Gorumara National Park.
