Takdah is accessible to different tourist destinations at a radius of 20km, you can drive 15mn to Tinchuley, about 30 min to Mangwa Village, and Darjeeling is 27km. Drive to River Teesta where you can enjoy water sports and can drive to Mangpoo Chinchona plantation. There are many tea gardens nearby and can visit the factories.

Takdah can be reached from two main directions. If you are travelling from Siliguri / NJP / Bagdogra / Dooars / Kalimpong or Sikkim side, you will have to travel through the Sikkim - Bengal National Highway 10 which is a road passing beside river Teesta. Once you reach Riyang confluence, a couple of km ahead of a small village named Rambhi, take the westbound uphill road from here and drive up for about 45 minutes (16 km) to reach Takdah. Those coming from Darjeeling should take the Ghoom - Jorebungalow road, take a right turn from the sixth Mile Bazar and drive for about 10 km (30 minutes) to reach Takdah.
