Location / Accessibility
Lepchajagat is popular as a destination with great views of the Kanchenjunga massif and Darjeeling town.
From the lodge itself, you can have a view of the mountain as well as the town. Lepchajagat does not have too many sightseeing points in the small village. You can walk around the village and the forested path nearby for a relaxed sojourn.
Lepchjagat is located at an altitude of about 7000 feet or about 2200 meters. Being at a relatively high altitude, the weather here is cooler compared to the plains. Even during the peak summer season, warm clothing is required. During winter months, the temperate sometimes may go close to the freezing point though snowfall is not very common here. Heavy woolen is required during winter months. July and August witness major rainfall but an umbrella might be useful any time of the year as the weather often becomes misty and sudden rainfall at unexpected times may occur.
