This is a new addition to the tourism map of Sittong. The property is conveniently located in the middle Sittong area. The area is completely secluded with no houses in the immediate vicinity except the house of the host. The homestay is spread over a large area and is more like a farmhouse.
The C'tong Homestay is situated in the middle sittong area.
This is a new addition to the tourism map of Sittong. Presently we have only one room cottage here. There is also a separate building for dining with the guests, though we provide room service as well.
The cottage has an attached toilet and a balcony which opens up towards the main road. The entire Sittong valley can be seen from here.

Sittong is a large area with a major altitude difference between its upper and lower part. The upper Ghalayter or Toryok area is much cooler than the lower Ryang river area. This property is located somewhere in the middle of Sittong, neither too high making your winter days comfortable nor too low, so that you won't require a ceiling fan during the summer.

Since the host manages their own restaurant, you can get food for your specific order in most cases. In most homestays, the menu is fixed and you have to take the available limited option. Here the options are more and the cooking is much better.
Location / Accessibility
Relaxing on the beautiful balcony of your beautiful room is the best activity we would recommend. There are several options for walking around and birding
The eco-resort is situated on farmland with its own orange orchard. You can take a walk on the farm and check out the area around. The main road of Sittong is just in front of the resort. So you can take a walk either uphill or downhill in a peaceful village. The School Dara is a nearby village where you can visit and interact with the locals. The area is also very popular among bird enthusiasts, you can take the advice of our host here or take a birding guide along and go shoot some great photographs of the famous Hornbill of the area.
A drive of about 4 km will take you to the Riyang river below which is a popular sightseeing point as well as a great place to engage in some camping or other adventure activity. Just about 6 km uphill will take you to Namthing Pokhari.
Drive a couple of km more to reach the popular Ahal Dara viewpoint. There are plenty of places nearby within half an hour to an hour's drive. You can reach Mahaldiram, Mongpu, or Latpanchar in just 30 minutes. Kurseong or Darjeeling will take less than 2 hours to reach.

Sittong can be reached through multiple routes. You can travel via Sukna - Sivakhola - Mahaldiram route, or you can travel via the Bagora, Pokhritar route.
You also have the option to reach here via Kalijhora - Latpanchar road, or Birik - Selphu road. Last but not least the Mongpu - Riyang route is also popular. Given that there are at least 5 different roads to reach here, we recommend after booking, you consult our travel experts who will give you the best way to reach the homestay given the present road condition and your previous night's place of accommodation.
